Listen to an incredibly inspiring talk by the award-winning author and philanthropist, Travis Roy, discuss the importance of focusing on the small pleasures in life. After, a life-changing hockey accident, Travis had to change the way he interacted with the world around him. Travis Roy is a philanthropist and former Boston University hockey player. 11 seconds into his first collegiate hockey game his life changed forever. After an accident that caused him to slam into the boards, he was paralyzed from the neck down. He founded the Travis Roy Foundation to raise money towards research for spinal cord injuries. Today, he is a published author, activist, and the only BU hockey player to have the honor of a retired number, #24.
