These are tea eggs(egg emoji)— they’re simmered in an aromatic broth made with soy sauce, black tea, spices, and Shaoxing wine and have a beautiful marbled pattern from the cracked shells. Tea eggs are sold by street vendors and at night markets in Asia, but here’s a recipe in case you want to try making them at home!
