Official 2016 GoPro National Drone Racing Championships ESPN | drones racing national championships

The Official 2016 GoPro National Drone Racing Championships held on Governor's Island, New York City, August 5-7, 2016. The 2016 GroPro Drone Nationals is the only live national level race in which all pilots had to qualify at a state/regional level drone racing event in order to compete.

This is the original program that was the first drone race to air on ESPN. This race was the second US national drone racing event in US history. The first drone racing event was held in Sacramento, California in August 2015.
