Lukas Lauber's talk explores how we, as humans, live with each other, from our tribal roots to the fast-paced world of modernity. It highlights the challenges of the increasingly individualistic modern world, in which, despite the luxuries and unsustainable overconsumption, many of us grow increasingly lonely and unhappy. The solution proposed is to connect the past with the future, by using innovation and technology to facilitate communal living that creates lasting and sustainable value through human connection, co-creation and sharing. Lukas is an EHL alumnus and the winner of the sustainable Hospitality Challenge in 2022. After years of intensive work as an assistant hotel manager, Lukas transitioned in a multifaceted career. He channels his passion for F&B through culinary pop-ups organised with his collective @hyper.gastro, which connects hyperactive and motivated hospitality experts. His talk will be diving into the sphere of sustainable hospitality, more specifically "co-living", alluding to his experiences that got him to where he is today.
