These are the best low-light settings I found to perform well for night flying

You can set camera to work well for Day and Night.
Set
SCENE SELECT to CUSTOM
SHUTTER/AGC to AUTO
SENS UP to OFF need that setting for low-light, don't know yet if it'll affect bright condition image http://youtu.be/3Iv6kClsVOc?t=1m7s
DNR LEVEL to 3 or less

DAY/NIGHT to AUTO
DELAY CNT to 001
DAY-NIGHT & NIGHT-DAY settings to 34 to start

GigaHurtz's interesting test results on how voltages higher than 10V cause diagonal lines to appear. Read his comments on the video for part 2, Don't know if he kept camera voltage constant or if it was varying as well. Something to consider if you encounter this issue of noise in the image.
