Georges Fishing Adventure

G’day, mate! How are you? My name is George. I am Aussie. I live alone and nothing stops me from being in the ocean as often as I wish. I am an amateur, but very successful Angler. I've got my own boat, many fishing rods and my mate dolphin , who knows the ocean way better than myself, because he lives there. His name is Dan, and I've learned a lot of stories from him. The next time I'll tell you how we met, which is an amazing story in itself. So, let me go ahead and tell you how it all started.

Chapter 2: Jinn in the boot

Once being quite far ashore, I happened to hook up and pulled out a giant boot. You have probably heard that once in a while someone would catch rubbish instead of a fish. Even seldom visited places get polluted by those who think that an ocean is too big to worry about one or two things being thrown into it.

I did not need the boot but I would not throw it back into the water to save the ocean from rubbish. I was pouring the water out of the boot to leave it onboard, when an ancient wine jar floated along with water out of the bootleg.

What a wonderful discovery! Any museum must be happy to get that. My trophy was of an Arabic or Persian traditional shape with a long and narrow neck. On top of it there were a lot of shells and seaweed. I was very curious if I could find anything inside. I was scratching away the seaweed and shells when I accidentally damaged the seal. Some dark cloud flew up with fizz out of the jar. The next moment it shaped itself into a Jinn and the mighty spirit exclaimed with a thunder-like voice, "Hallelujah!!! I am free again! May you live long and happily, my saviour! I am going to reward you for what you’ve done for me! My name is Azis Ibn-Hasan! I am a very mighty Jinn, who can make you a billionaire or build the most beautiful palace for you in no time. But think twice before you wish for something. Because it’s only once that I will make your dream come true. So, what is it that you really want?"

I was speechless for a few minutes. Then it took me another few minutes to consider Jinn’s offer. You see, I already had a nice boat and many fishing rods. I had never been in a great need of money. What I really wanted was to know more about the mysteries of the ocean. I had always been fascinated by the thought of what’s happening deep inside. I bet it’s the endless source of exciting stories. I needed someone who could help me discover them. So, I pointed into the deep waters and said, "I want a friend from there."
"What?! Are you sure you don’t want me to share the treasures of the world with you?"
"You heard me right," I insisted confidently.
"What shall I do then?" Jinn sounded like he was talking to himself, "I have to help you find someone friendly from out there." Then he turned his head to me and added, "Well then. I can organize the meeting. I can help you understand each other. But I can not force anyone to be your friend. Feelings should NOT be controlled. It’s you, who should work it out into friendship, OK?""Fair enough," I agreed.

The Jinn disappeared. I still keep both the boot and the ancient wine jar at home as the evidence that this story happened to me for real.
