What happens when you load a webpage?
In this video Prof. Patterson describes what happens when you load a web page in a browser. This lecture brings together the process of DNS resolution, routing, HTML creation on the webserver and rendering in your local browser. Having a correct mental model of the web page loading sequence is important for effectively building web sites and web application infrastructures.
