Holy Mass commemorating 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines presided over by Pope Francis

The Catholic faith was brought to the Philippine archipelago in 1521 following the arrival of the Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan. Today the Philippines is the only Christian country in Asia, with 86% of the population being Catholic.
