Revd Prof Nikolaos Loudovikos on 'Bringing New Spirit to the Old Letter'
The full title of the presentation is: 'Bringing New Spirit to the Old Letter: Maximus the Confessor’s Teaching on Pleasure and Pain, and the Palamite Distinction between Essence and Energies, in a Modern Reading, as Examples'. This talk was delivered during the IOCS Conference on ‘”The Newness of the Old”: Tradition, Doctrine and Christian Life Between Preservation and Innovation’ (31 August - 1 September 2018). Father Nikolaos' presentation is preceded by a Welcome from the Principal of IOCS and by an Introduction to the theme of the Conference by the Academic Director.
