Secret Capacitive Touch Switches

This demo was designed for a customer that wanted to hide two switches underneath a leather wrapped panel. Only a service man will know their exact location. If both buttons are pressed for a period of time then only will the RED LED illuminate. Ultimately this will be used to unlock a compartment for service.

Notice, we have put delays into these momentary switches. These switches have been configured to require 2 seconds of touching before they actually turn on. Also, this system has been tuned to sense through 1/8" or 0.125" thick acrylic. Since this is true projected capacitive touch - sub surface sensing, we can sense through anything non-conductive such as glass and plastics.
