TJ Ford was one of the most exciting young players in the NBA before a series of serious injuries to his spinal cord led him to retire from the game. Ford had congenital spinal stenosis, a condition that caused him to have abnormal narrowing of his spinal canal and led to multiple episodes of brief spinal cord injury and paralysis.
