World War Two Veteran reunited with M1 Garand

My great grandpa reunited with the mighty Garand after 72 years. After he was wounded on August 14th of 1944 in Dinard, France he was withdrawn from the war and that was the last time he held one. My grandpa is a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge among others. Please excuse the talking in the background as they were not aware I was recording the video.

5/20/2017: It has been over a year since the original posting and I would like to include all information right here. My grandfather passed on December 19th, 2016.

ANY ASININE, RUDE, OR DISRESPECTFUL COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED. There will be no tolerance for bullshit or stupidity, your inability to read the annotation on screen, the comment section, or the description of the video gives no excuse for retarded comments, you have been warned!!

FAQ: 1.) Is this his Garand? -No, his service rifle was made in 1943 and this one was made in January of 1945.
2.) Isn't this triggering his PTSD? Why would you do this? -My grandfather had not held an M1 since 1946, at the time of this recording he was 91 years old and knew time was running short, knowing that I was a collector of firearms he asked me if I could get one to show him, so he could hold one, one last time. He is an adult and I'm PRETTY SURE he can decide for himself what he can and can't handle.
3.) Did he kill anyone? -....really?
4.) Who could ever dislike this video? -People who disagree with some form or aspect in this video... or dislike me.
5.) Why isn't this filmed correctly? -Because I'm an idiot. This recording wasn't planned, it was an impromptu recording and I wasn't concerned with camera angle.
6.) Why are you asking questions? -Because I was excited and didn't know enough to shut up and let him reminisce, I regret it now.
7.) What unit was he with? - 2nd Battalion, Company E, 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, United States Army.

8.) Where did he serve?- France, a veteran of the Normandy and Northern France campaigns.
9.) Why are you badgering this old man? -My grandpa is an odd duck. If you tell him they did nothing overseas he disagrees with you and cites what they did. If you tell him he's a hero he'll disagree with you.
10.) I think you're an asshole who is exploiting an old man for YouTube views.- I don't give a damn what you think, this video was made for personal/family reasons and I decided to share it with YouTube in the hopes that someone else out there would be inspired to do something similar for another veteran before we loose them.
11.) You're a moron/looser/asshole/idiot/____ -Thanks for the compliment, "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares"
