How to Cook Homemade Beef Jerky in The Oven - Thai Style Marinade (English Speaking)

Today I’d like to share this jerky recipe with you. It’s the recipe from my father in Thailand. ✨🌿

Normally we call this a sun dried beef because it’s so hot in Thailand so after marinading we sun dry it for about 2-3 hours then deep fry it. ☀️

And because we do not have enough sun in Washington so I tried to make it work by using an oven.

It took me several times to get the right temperature and make it taste as yummy as how my father made.

One thing I and my husband love about this recipe is that we can avoid deep frying process, allows us to enjoy it more in a healthier way and don’t have to feel too guilty afterwards🤣

•3 lbs. Beef chuck (thinly sliced with grain)
•1 tbsp. Salt
•2 tbsp. Black pepper
•2 tbsp. Coriander, ground
•2 tbsp. Garlic powder
•2 tbsp. Soy sauce
•2 tbsp. Oyster sauce (substitute with 2 tbsp. Soy sauce)
•2 tbsp. Brown sugar
•3 tbsp. White sesame

1. Trim off extra fat and cut beef into long thin strips.

2. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together. Add beef and mix it well by hand. Marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

3. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Use large baking sheets with foil. Set a rack on and lay beef in long strips across the rack.

4. Bake for 35 minutes, then flip the bottom side up, and bake for another 35 minutes. (Total 70 minutes)

5. Now time to enjoy! ✨

❗️Heat up instruction : Bake in 350 degree F for 10 minutes. You can pad with paper towels to absorb extra grease on jerky.
