KTVA damaged in earthquake, keeps broadcasting
On the morning of November 30, 2018, the morning show crew was winding down from the newscast. Then, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit at 8:29 a.m. Everyone evacuated the building until it was safe to go back in and then coverage began.
Channel 11 carried continuous coverage online and on Channel 11 throughout the day giving critical information on road damage, schools and on aftershocks.
