‘Biggest lie this nation has seen’: Albanese slammed over broken promises

Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese doesn’t understand the consequences of the “biggest lie” this nation has seen from a prime minister.

“(He) called the previous Coalition prime minister Scott Morrison a liar,” Mr Tehan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“And yet here he has been for nearly two years, conducting the biggest lie this nation has seen from a prime minister, ever – it’s a sad day for Australia.”

Under Labor's expected change, the 37 per cent will stay for those making between $135,001 and $190,000, with the highest 45 per cent rate applied after the latter.

The move will mean those earning up to $150,000 are better off, as the government tries to help families on low and middle incomes.
