In this video, I show how you can run the home automation products from Xiaomi Mi Home Aqara with just 5 volts USB power or 12 volts DC. This way, you can easaly use this cheap and functional home automation for your motorboat, yacht or caravan. With this system, I now control my Diesel heating on board, the lighting, sense motion, sense water (in case of a water leak / rain coming in) and this all works now.

For my motorboat I was looking for a cheap way to control lights, the heating and reading out the temperatures. But, the downside is that my motorboat runs at 12 volts DC and 24 volts DC.
There is a lot of automation to be found for 110 volts or 220 volts AC, but the world for caravans and yachting is a lot smaller (at least on the cheaper side).

I found out about Xiaomi Mi Home automation and because of the price I have given it some time to test it.
