Sir Iain Duncan Smith predicts Brexit deal 'fudge'
Conservative MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith has predicted "at least a 45-50% chance" the UK and EU will not reach an "official" Brexit deal, as talks continue today.
Speaking with talkRADIO's Julia Hartley-Brewer, the Brexiteer said he expected the EU to come up with "some kind of fudge that allows them to move on".
Negotiations between the UK and EU are due to continue on Friday amid warnings the prospect of a breakthrough is “receding”.
Britain has claimed Brussels was calling for fresh concessions at the 11th hour.
And with the Brexit transition period due to end on December 31, there is little time to get a deal agreed by negotiators and approved by the EU’s leaders, Westminster and the European Parliament.
