2014 - 2019 Toyota Highlander Key Not Detected - How to Start With Dead, Bad, Broken Remote key Fob

A video tutorial on how to start a 2014 - 2019 Toyota Highlander with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message "Key Not Detected".

This will only apply to Toyota Highlanders that have a push button start ignition.

If your remote key fob has a dead battery or is broken , you may see an error message of Key Not Detected when you attempt to start your Toyota Highlander. The solution to the key not detected problem is to touch the back of the bad or dead remote key fob to the Stop/Start button, then you will be able to start your Highlander as you normally would.
