Rescuing baby flying-fox in a backyard: this is the Manxome Foe (Manx)

The Manxome Foe (Manx) is a Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who was found in a suburban backyard, hanging in a hedge.
Initially I thought he was female (oops - no idea where he was hiding his little penis when I did my initial grope).

He is 8 weeks old (with the tooth development of a 10-12 week old baby); I suspect he is older than his measurements suggest, and has been stunted by not enough food to grow well.

In care he was initially sooky (an Aussie term for emotionally needy) and very quiet, but as you will see in the following video - it didn't last.

Stay tuned for part 2 when I have time to edit the footage.

His name comes from the poem Jabberwocky.
