The Future of Public Health Education

Top public health experts discuss the future of undergraduate and graduate public health education and how best to train new public health practitioners, in a series of presentations and a panel discussion hosted by the George Washington University.

Speakers Include:
Lynn R. Goldman (at 00:00), dean of the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services

Donna J. Petersen (at 02:34), interim senior vice president of the University of South Florida (USF) Health and dean of the USF College of Public Health, who spoke on "Framing the Future: The Second Hundred Years of Education for Public Health"

Dr. Howard Koh (at 33:33), the United States assistant secretary for health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Dr. Jon Andrus, MD (at 53:37), the deputy director of the Pan American Health Organization and professor of Global Health at the George Washington University

The event, titled "Revisioning Public Health Education", was held December 4th, 2013 at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services in Washington DC.
