About The Making:
Some time ago Johanna showed me a few hand-drawn animations that she had created to my song ‘Run’. Month by month she kept on adding parts to it and I couldn’t stop being impressed. Here’s the full version!

To create this video a traditional technique called frame-by-frame animation was used. Each
frame (traditionally 24 per second, in this case reduced to 12 per second in order to keep the
illustrator’s sanity!) is hand-drawn either on paper or on a digital tablet. All of the frames are then
combined using photoshop which puts them back to back. The quick succession of images gives
the illusion of movement. It is a lengthy process and it took the artist many hours of work to
complete.
