Albanese government not going to change negative gearing out of ‘self-interest’
Commentator Jason Morrison says the Albanese government are not going to change negative gearing out of “self-interest”.
Mr Morrison joined Sky News host Sharri Markson to discuss the government’s stage three tax cut changes and stance on negative gearing.
“Self-interest will tell me that they’re not going to change negative gearing, at least backwards, they might change it forward,” he said.
“Because if you have a look at the peculiar interests – most of the ministers, I think Tony Burke’s the best of them, are incredibly negatively geared.
“Self-interest does kick in a little higher than political interest at times.”
