Camera Lucida 11.0 Intro and Advanced Camera Controls

Camera Lucida allows you to draw on paper using your iOS device as a virtual overlay. In this video I give a quick intro and then head into the new automatic camera controls that have been added for version 11.0.

This newest version has all the features of past versions but now allows you to use computer vision to match a known image (target) with what your camera sees. The app will then adjust the live view of your camera to correct for perspective, tilt and mirroring. This means that regardless of the true view of your camera, what you see will appear as though the camera is pointed straight at your artwork!

This technology can also be used to realign your camera after you have finished a drawing session and moved things around. I will be posting a video on that topic soon!
