In this brand new taping tutorial, I go more in depth with my taping process, beginning from how I cleanse the lashes, my priming method and my tips for taping down the bottom lashes safely. I also try to show you how I speak to clients in order to make sure they are comfortable letting me know if anything is bothering them. In this video I'm using the NEXCARE sensitive tape, but you can use these tips for whichever taping method you prefer.

Using the Yegi Beauty Lash Foam Cleanser, I remove any additional makeup residue. This helps prevent any infections or irritations and helps improve retention. The foam cleanser is super gentle and won’t sting your client’s eyes. Make sure you’re using a sanitized or new cleaning brush for each client.

TIP: Drying the lashes as you’re brushing them will help the lashes dry straight, which will make it easier to apply the extensions.

Using micro brushes, prime your client’s lashes so that the glue bonds properly and improves retention. Make sure you’re using a very small amount to prevent any from getting into the client’s eye.

TIP: Making a comfortable space for your client can make or break your business. Take the extra step to communicate with your client and create a safe space.

Make sure your under eye patches don’t seem dry. Grab fresh ones and make sure to apply them a little bit lower than the lash line to prevent irritation of the eye.

TIP: Pinch the under eye patch for an easy removal. It’s way easier and faster than trying to peel the under eye patches.

In this video I use the sensitive tape, but I also like the white tape and micro foam tape options. It just depends on preference! I usually always place clear tape on top to help the tweezer glide.

TIP: Turning off the light can help the eyes relax in case the light sensitivity is making things worse if it’s already difficult taping.
