How to Quit Frozen Applications on a Mac
Command-option-escape for the force quit command
For terminal kill:
1.) type "top -u"
2.) find PID number of frozen application
3.) type "q" to return to terminal
4.) type "sudo kill PID#" and put the PID number in PID#'s place
