"Ice Prince" Yuzuru Hanyu wonders if the ice doesn't like him any more after tumbling into final

28-year-old Japanese “Ice Prince” Yuzuru Hanyu
landed eighth in the men’s short program
at the Beijing Games on February 8.
 
Far from the dazzling performances that won him gold at the last two Olympics an unimaginable missed opening quadruple Salchow jump cost him precious points.
 
That made the “Ice Prince”
a bit disappointed,
saying that…
…he wonders if “the ice
DOESN’T LIKE me any more”
 
“Did I do something wrong?”
 
“Is that because I did
something bad that
it turned out like this?”
 
Hanyu said blaming a divot in the ice for making him skip the opening jump.
 
That remarks has soon won over 13.8 million views on China’s twitter-like Weibo with the viral hashtag #IceDOESNTLIKEmeanymore #YuzuruHanyu
 
Hanyu will go into the final free skate on February 10 with 18.82 points behind US Nathan Chen.
