The flight will test Starship's three engines used for ascent, body flaps, transition from main to header tanks, and landing flip. SpaceX's CEO Elon Musk Musk admitted the upcoming flight will be risky, giving it a 1/3 chance of being successful.
While Starship will lift off and land on its own, it is intended to be the upper stage of a launch system that features atop a giant rocket known as Super Heavy.
Starship will be the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed.
