Olga Burdakova (PhD) is an associate professor at the Narva College of University of Tartu and the programme manager of "Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language". She has been working at the university for over 20 years - teaching all about Russian language and conducting research work. Olga Burdakova is an author of more than 70 scientific and methodical publications, ranging from the grammar of Russian language to ethnic stereotypes.

На вебинаре вы узнаете, сколько форм личных имён у русских, откуда взялась традиция при обращении к человеку называть имя отца и как учитель русского языка как иностранного может помочь ученикам запомнить формы русских личных имён и научить использовать имена и отчества в речи.

During the two-year programme students will prepare themselves teaching Russian as a foreign language in any language class, regardless of the learner's age, native language and cultural background.

Students will acquire a systematic understanding of Russian language and culture, develop their multicultural competence and improve their knowledge of Russian as a foreign language in order to reach the C1 level.

In addition, the programme creates and supports students' professional identity and develops the ability to choose and apply modern methods of teaching Russian, which meet the goals, content, age of future students and their individual needs.

During the programme students have the opportunity to gain experience teaching Russian as a foreign language by woring with foreign students at the university or in language schools. In addition, students will study students' needs, pedagogical practices and engage in creative work in their masters thesis.
