Cities that Function Like Forests: Biomimicry Maps a Sustainable Future
Janine Benyus, biologist, innovation consultant, author of six books, and co-founder of Biomimicry 3.8 gives an inspiring keynote address on how cities could be designed to function just like a forest; restorative, regenerative, sustainable, life giving. She proposes the establishment of ecological performance standards, a set of design guidelines that could be used to build resiliency back into our urban environment.
