Anime: Castle in the Sky
A young boy runs into a mysterious girl who falls from the sky. Sheeta is pursued by pirates, the army, and government secret agents. In order to save her life, they embark on a high-flying adventure through various flying machines, eventually searching for Sheeta's identity in a floating castle of a lost civilization. Tenk no Shiro Rapyuta (also known as Laputa: Castle in the Sky) is a Japanese animated film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Tokuma Shoten. It is Studio Ghibli's first film, released on August 2, 1986, though some consider it the second, as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was created by the founding members two years prior. It was shown in theaters alongside two compilation films for Sherlock Hound, The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle and Treasure Under the Sea.
