Anastasia Volochkova is the youngest ballerina in Kirov Mariinsky history to dance a prima ballerina role, having danced Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, while still a Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet student and only 17 years old,. She is the only 17 year old to ever dance a Mariinsky Ballet performance as the prima ballerina at age 17.
She danced her principal debut in 1993 and I had not been in Leningrad since 1991. If I had been in Leningrad, 100% I would have filmed her historic debut. There are too many stupid people in this world to think that television did not film her historic debut. I have never heard that anyone filmed any of her debut. I do not know who was her partner, but if anyone has any video of her historic debut, please post some of it.
