HW News - NVIDIA MSRP Allegedly Not Realistic, Ryzen 5000 Supply, PCIe 6.0 Spec
Hardware news this week covers NVIDIA's allegedly unrealistic MSRP targets for the next video card (and they'll hopefully change), Ryzen 5000 supply, PCIe 6.0, Arctic's 420mm CLC, and more.

The big story this week is a GN exclusive and has to do with NVIDIA allegedly setting MSRP targets that are claimed by partners to be nearly impossible to hit on the next RTX card, at least, assuming the partners put a cooler that's actually any good on it. If NVIDIA increases MSRP to be more realistic or decreases its margin, there'd be enough room for coolers that are actually good to be on the next cards. Right now, though, NVIDIA thinks the cooler should cost $4 on the BOM. Of course, we realized partners also have a motive in this, so we spoke to factory contacts to get the full picture. That's all in the main news item. Other topics this week include a quick reminder about the Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 7 5800X reviews (just because those had a lot of interest and followed the 5900X & 5950X reviews), some quick thoughts on AMD Ryzen 5000 availability (and the insane "false scarcity" theories around it), and some product announcement and industry notes.
