2008 Toyota Sienna HVAC repair - Rear air blow on high - broken ribbon cable

This 2008 Toyota Sienna had some issues with the heater. The rear heater would turn on full blast randomly and then shut back off. Three of the four heater control knobs were loose also. I have run into a similar issue on a toyota highlander and figured we could fix it if we removed the control panel from the vehicle. Once removed from the vehicle we need to disassemble the heater control panel and inspect or replace the ribbon cables. Visual inspection didn't show any issues with ribbon cable until I desoldered it from the board. One broken wire is all it takes to make the controls act strange. I replaced the ribbon cable with three individual wires around 22 AWG in size. Put everything back together and it works like it should.
