SAGWAN (Paddle)

Synopsis

“Sagwan” is a short narrative film that follows the journey of a 16-year-old boy living with his grandmother along the train tracks of Pandacan, Manila. Every day, he pushes the trolley; a means of transportation that quintessentially captures the resilience and creativity of the Filipino people even in the wake of poverty and hardship. One day, an unexpected incident inevitably changes the course of his life forever and he finds himself catapulted into an awesome adventure with the Philippine dragon boat team.
