Golden Rules for Trading Breakouts on 1-Minute Charts. Scalping can be a very effective strategy in the right market conditions. Scaling is very popular out there and even if you're not a scalper you are drilling down into the timeframes trying to finetune your entry. Some even use a tight stop looking for a multi-day trade!
This is my take on it and these are the things I look for when trading breakouts. Of course you should always have a stop in place because most breakouts end up to be fakeouts.

1. Price should hold for 2 minutes.
2. Price should stay above 50% of breakout level.
3. Volume gains during BO, declines during pause.
