Unboxing and testing Xiaomi's new Redmi 9 smartphone, a budget-friendly mobile costing just £139 in the UK, or £150 for more memory and storage. With its quad lens camera, massive battery and Full HD screen, the Redmi 9 offers strong value - stay tuned for a full review.

You've got Android 10 with Xiaomi's own MiUI 11 on top, which can be a bit quirky but boasts some great bonus tools and features. The camera tech seems quite basic but you can hopefully capture some respectable looking photos and video - I'll be fully testing for my in-depth review.

The Redmi 9 should keep you going all day and possibly all weekend with its 5020mAh battery. Even if you're streaming video on the 6.53-inch screen, gaming on the likes of PubG and so on, this budget phone should handle it all. But again, I'll be using it as my full-time personal handset to really test it out. Especially to see how that Mediatek Helio G80 chipset copes with everyday life.
