My experience with African Americans & Africans pt2 | Truth about racism with solutions
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT:
This is part two to this viral video: https://youtu.be/BSb0349Vm6E
I have come to realize that some African Americans/black Americans look down on Africans and some Africans look down on African Americans/black Americans. I tackled the "why" question and gave solutions that could be implemented. Many immigrants will be able to relate to my experiences with this.
Most African Americans are well-educated, doing well, working, and living well. I hope you watch the entire video to see where I am going. I’m suggesting that we should not look down on each other because of preconceived notions. Contrary to popular belief, many Africans are living large and living in thriving cities.
All African Americans are not the same and neither are all Africans. We are beautifully diverse, yet we can have unity in the diversity.
Black people in America had socio-economic issues that created a divide, they were not given loans with low-interest rates, they were denied jobs they rightfully deserved, they were redlined, and more. Even with all that black Americans thrive, succeed, and make it in every sector but that is not what some Africans understand. I hope this makes sense.
So with the clear division, we still have similar experiences of racism due to our shared skin color. With this in mind, this video presents some solutions because we can come together if we try.
