1840s were always one of my favorite eras in fashion history, so I've always wanted to make a dress from this period. This dress is based on this fashion plate - https://tessa.lapl.org/cdm/ref/collection/fashion/id/3055
For this project I made:
🔹chemise
🔹drawers
🔹corset
🔹quilted petticoat
🔹corded petticoat
🔹2 plain petticoats
🔹tie on pockets
🔹dress itself
🔹and bonnet
It's probably my heaviest dress, based just on the numbers of petticoats :)
