Ducati Panigale V4R Dyno run

Behold! The new 999cc Panigale V4R breaks records, posting 199hp (202hp rerun couple weeks later) at the rear wheel (234hp at the crank), on the MCC dyno with Akrapovic racing exhaust. Truly epic, a new age is upon us.

Remember folks, crank horsepower is what is reported by manufacturers. Numbers on dynos will vary, but will generally be 15% lower than crank numbers due to friction and energy loses through the transmission, sprockets, chain, the tire, etc...

Note: The dyno bike is NOT the same VIN number as the intro bike. The intro bike was on tour for the official unveiling. The bike you see on the dyno is the first customer purchase, but is a V4R - the dry clutch is covered, obviously, from the factory. The bike would never be sold without a standard clutch cover. It was removed from the intro bike simply to show off the fact that it does have a dry clutch, to show the audience. The fact I have to explain this proves how sad the internet has become - that there is so much fakery online and on YouTube that people have become so suspicious of everything these days. But rest assured, the dyno bike is an aluminum tank clad V4R, with Akrapovic exhaust installed and customer requested Superleggera wheels.

The highest posted torque on this dyno still belongs to the Panigale 1299 Final Edition with Akrapovic exhaust, around 94 lb-ft. But that V-twin also has 300 additional cc's of displacement.
