Do you have a need for speed? Speedruns are Super Mario Maker 2’s hottest level category, and can be completely exhilarating or a snoozefest. Today, I am going to show you 8 creative speedrun ideas that will thrill anyone who plays your courses.

1. Frantic Falling
In this idea inspired by Rayman Legends Falling Challenge, we use a cape feather powerup and a clear condition to strategically fall as fast as possible. Careful not to lose your precious powerup!

2. Underwater Urgency
Speedruns underwater can actually be fun! We use yoshi to lick and spit items that allow us to move more quickly.

3. Swift Superball
The entire speedrun is based around trickshots with the superball flower while platforming!

4. Super Speedrun
Find out how we can go faster than maximum speed using a night theme and special item combination!

5. Sneaky Snakeblock
We need to be quick to keep up with our supportive snakeblock in this idea. One hesitation and we will be unable to make it to safety!

6. Intriguing Inversion
We use the same area in two different ways. Using the underground night theme, we take the same area and run it upside down and backwards.

7. Vertical Vaulting
Climb up as fast as you can! Time is not the biggest issue here, we must race the autoscroll!

8. Brisk Bob-ombs
Bob-omb timers reset when we enter doors or pipes. This speedrun is made up of mini speedrun rooms that we need to get the ignited bomb through!
