“Greatest Threat to Humanity”, “More Dangerous than Cancer”, “Antibiotic Apocalypse” - these are some of the titles used by the world media to describe resistance developed by bacteria towards antibiotics. Already today resistance to antibiotics is one of the major causes of death approximating to factors like cancer, heart diseases and other widespread “killers”. If not attended today, very soon antiiotic resistance can leave mankind totally unarmed in the face of even minor bacterial infection. This can be avoided by development of bacteriophage technologies. Georgia might be able to offer a solution to the whole world. Successful Georgian entrepreneur, listed in Forbes Under 30 in 2019. He is Head of Innovation and Business Development in Biochimpharm - biotechnological company engaged in research, development and commercialization of phages.
