Veteran helps unveil Gurkha statue
A life-sized statue honouring the Gurkhas has been unveiled in Aldershot. The bronze statue depicts Kulbir Thapa Magar carrying a wounded soldier from the Leicestershire regiment off of the battlefield during World War One. Kulbir became the first Nepalese Gurkha recipient of the Victoria Cross. 🇬🇧
