Marvel Studios' Eternals. arrives in theaters November 5.
What is it? Marvel's Eternals is the story of a group of ancient immortal beings who have protected Earth's human population from the Deviants and Celestials for millennia.
Where can I see it? Marvel's Eternals will be released in theaters worldwide.
When can I watch it? Marvel's Eternals is scheduled for release internationally on November 5, 2021.
Will it be available to watch on Disney Plus at launch? No. Eternals will have a 45-day exclusivity window in theaters, so it won't simultaneously arrive on Disney Plus in November.
So, we thought it was time to explain who the #MCU’s latest superheroes are, and if this new team is going to steal the spotlight from the Avengers.
The Eternals are a league of superheroes that have been protecting Earth for the last 7,000 years, after being created by a group of powerful god-like beings called the Celestials.
The team of ten heroes possess a varied assortment of powers that makes them a cross between Thor and Captain Marvel - while also getting a few unique abilities of their own.
However, the experiments that crafted the Eternals weren’t 100% successful, with failed tests resulting in the creation of terrifying monsters called Deviants.
Because of the damage these beasts could cause, the Eternals were sent out to secretly protect our world from the Deviants - as even though the Deviants were called failures, they were still given incredible powers that only the Eternals could match.
If you’re wondering why the Eternals didn’t show up in the Battle against Thanos, it's because they were instructed to only get involved if Deviants were there too - though when the lives of half of the universe are on the line we can’t help but feel like this excuse is a little bogus.
Based on the trailers for The Eternals so far it sounds like there may have been some ulterior motive to not getting involved, as the return of everyone after The Blip provided enough energy to bring on an ominous sounding event called the Emergence - though we’ll have to wait for the film to release to know what it means.
Right now, it looks like we’ll be watching The Eternals exclusively in cinemas when it releases, just like we had to do for Shang-Chi. We imagine it’ll come to Disney Plus eventually, but if you want to see The Eternals as soon as possible you’re going to need to brave the outside world when it comes out on November 5th.
We hope you liked the video, be sure to share it with all your fellow Marvel fans, and let us know in the comments who you think would win in a fight between The Avengers and The Eternals.
