This stunning 1987 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback 5-speed has 12,960 original miles. It was a one owner vehicle until September of 2020. The original window sticker, warranty ID card and owner’s manuals are included. The exterior is in beautiful condition including all the original Medium Cabernet paint which was tested with an electric paint meter. The original Scarlet Red Cloth interior is also in beautiful condition. Everything in the interior is in working order including the original air conditioning with R12. This car was rust-proofed on a portion of the engine compartment and undercarriage when it was new. The car is powered by the original 5.0L EFI HO 8-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual o/d transmission.

As the original window sticker indicates this car’s final assembly plant was Dearborn, MI. It was sold to Village Ford located in Dearborn, MI. It was built as a 1987 Ford Mustang GT 2-door Hatchback with a 5.0L EFI HO 8-cyclinder engine with 5-speed manual o/d transmission. It had a Medium Cabernet exterior and a Scarlet Red Cloth interior. It was equipped with the following optional equipment: Climate Control Group (air conditioner, rear window defroster and tinted glass), Custom Equipment Group (dual electric remote mirrors, dual illuminated visor mirrors and power side windows) and Special Value Group (power lock group, AM/FM electronic stereo cassette and speed control). The car was retailed February 24th, 1987 to a gentleman who lived in Lincoln Park, MI. This gentleman had the car rust-proofed on a portion of the engine compartment and undercarriage when it was new. The car was cherished by this gentleman its entire life. This gentleman decided to sell the car after 33 years of ownership in September of 2020. The car still has the original title which MS CLASSIC CARS will reassign to the new owner. The exterior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. This car was garaged its entire life and treated with the best of care which is evident of its overall condition. It still retains 100% of its original Medium Cabernet paint. The paint was tested by MS CLASSIC CARS with an electronic paint meter. The paint was recently detailed and looks amazing. It shows no signs of oxidation or deterioration. As expected with a 33-year-old car it does have some small chips on the front end. The paint is complemented with a red side stripe which adds character. All the glass is original and in excellent condition. Everything on the exterior is in excellent condition such as the window trim, mirrors, wipers, antenna, headlights, taillights and emblems. The car sits on the original 15x7 cast aluminum turbine style wheels. The wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires that are 225-60-15.

The interior of this car is also in beautiful condition throughout. It’s literally like sitting in a brand-new car. It retains 100% of its original Scarlet Red Cloth interior which shows no signs of wear. This interior was preserved which is evident with the condition. The headliner is still tight and looks amazing. The dome light and the swivel map light both work as they should. It still has the original carpeted floor mats. Everything is in working order such as the power locks, power windows, radio, heat and air conditioning. When the car was new an alarm system was installed that is still in working order. The trunk area is also in beautiful condition. It still retains the original cargo cover, and the trunk light works.

The engine compartment is exceptionally clean throughout. It retains all the original factory parts and stickers. The original hood insulation is intact, and the hood light works. The inner fenders were rust proofed with a black coating to prevent rust when the car was new. This is an example of an original Foxbody Mustang engine compartment. The car is powered by the original 5.0L EFI HO 8-cylinder engine. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual o/d transmission. The clutch and shifter operate very smoothly.

The undercarriage is also very clean throughout. It retains all the original factory parts. It also retains most of the original factory stickers and paint marks. The underside was also rust-proofed with a black coating to prevent rust when the car was new. The steering, suspension and braking system is in great working order.
