'I'm shocked': Denny Hamlin wins Coca-Cola 600 in overtime

Denny Hamlin won the Coca-Cola 600 pole on Saturday, and the race on Sunday. But a whole lot happened in between.

In this exclusive interview with WCNC Charlotte's Ashley Stroehlein, Denny Hamlin explains how he won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway despite not having the best car. Hamlin now has won all of NASCAR's crown jewel events, including three Daytona 500 victories (2016, 2019 and 2020) and three Southern 500 victories (2010, 2017 and 2021).

Denny Hamlin's victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway was his second win in 2022 and puts him in a position to again challenge for a championship in the NASCAR Cup Series. Hamlin, along with two of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, are locked into the playoffs as the 2022 regular season hit the halfway point in Charlotte.

The race was the longest in NASCAR Cup Series history, at 413 laps, taking two overtimes to complete.
