The right mindset in our sketchbook practice can be the difference between a real sense of accomplishment and the quick undermining of all our best intentions.

In part one of this two part lesson, Steve explains how he believes success comes from making good choices as we walk our life path and letting the results take care of themselves. And he suggests the first (and probably the most important) choice is practicing kindness to ourselves. Treat our undernourished creative self as if it is a beloved child, because it is exactly that.
