Erica’s Story – Colorectal Surgery – Temple Health
Diagnosed with colonic inertia, Erica endured chronic constipation for nearly seven years. After Erica and her gastroenterologist exhausted many common treatment options with little success, Erica was referred to Howard Ross, MD, FACS, FASCRS, Chief of Colorectal Surgery and Surgical Director of the Digestive Disease Center at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Ross performed a total abdominal colectomy to help relieve Erica’s symptoms and improve her quality of life. “Recovery was so quick. I was out of the hospital in four days, at the gym two weeks later - and feeling great. It changed my life for the better.”
