Dead rising 2 off the record is the same Dead rising 2, but in an alternate universe. The main character of the original Chuck Green, was replaced by Frank West, the character from the first part. Journalist Frank West, who survived the first zombie outbreak in Willamette, helped many people to escape.

He became a real hero, received the presidential award, but his popularity soon began to decline.
Losing money and fame, Frank decides to make some extra money by taking part in a show of Tyrone King (TK) called "Terror is reality".
