This is my first lecture on chapter 2 in my series on Paulo Freire's "Pedagogy of the Oppressed" and covers Freire's discussion of the banking system or the banking model of education. I have started this series to discuss Paulo Freire's philosophy of education and to explain his method of problem solving education. Freire's work is crucial in further development of the field of critical pedagogy and the theory and praxis of critical pedagogy.
