Converting the front mic jack on my PC into a Coaxial Digital Output

Hi YouTube,

I wanted to use my PC as a home theater PC and it didn't have a digital output for audio so I decided to convert the front mic jack into a coaxial digital output so that I could cleanly connect audio to my home theater receiver.

I was also able to save $15, and not have to wait a few days to get a SPDIF adapter online.

What you will need to do this is:
- Small flat head screwdriver to potentially de pin the mic wires
- Philips head screwdriver to get the side cover of your computer case off
- 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect your PC to the device that has a coaxial digital input

This is a relatively easy hack to do, but please be careful when doing this.

I hope this helps anyone looking to quickly add a coaxial digital output to their PC.
